It was immensely tempting to take a cheaper player somewhere and vault over all the ~40M owners bunched up ... but in the end I couldn't risk not getting at least one good value SP at the top.

Sigh. I missed that BeAll had picked the '66 version when I selected Freehan. Was banking on one Marichal being left next time though. Bit of a drop in quality in that group after that, it seems.

The one drawback to waiting on a stud bonus player in Round 25 is that if you get one, it means you'll be wasting a lot of salary on unneeded IP or AB somewhere.
