Canucks Thread - We Still Believe Topic

Carcillo is exactly what the Canucks need ..a nut bar who thrives on kicking the crap out of guys like Eager..a guy who gives our p#ssies some courage..we have the talent they just need the big set of balls to compliment the talent..i cant see why Gillis cant see that?

i like Rypien and wish him well in in Winnepeg,we need more guys like him,who knew his role and did it well..these tough guys think they dont have to fight after awhile..like Brash did here... we need a guy that knows he is a thug, will always be a thug and takes pride in protecting our sisters..simple as that

I wonder if we could clone Tiger Williams?

Which of these new faces will stick?

Byron Bitz, 6 foot 5, 215 lbs, 11 points in 52 games in 09-10
Mike Duco, 5 foot 10, 200 lbs, 20 goals, 126 PM in 67 games in the AHL last season
Andrew Ebbett, 5 foot 9, 174 lbs, 38 points in 37 games in the AHL last season
Steven Pinizzotto, 6 foot 1, 195 lbs, 17 goals, 178 PM in 68 AHL games last season

A rag tag collection with some size, some skill, and some fighters.  Looks like they chose to avoid 4th line players from other teams and roll the dice on some unproven players with some potential if given a chance to play.

If we get someone to take Ballard and Samuelsson.............I would target S WEBER??

We were first in goals scored??
We allowed the fewest goals against??

But we need that NUMBER ONE stud D-Man.........Enter S Weber??
Sorry to quote myself??  but.....We need to target "SHEA WEBER"..........7.5 mil=?????  WHAT THE F#$K???

NASHVILLE does not want him?

Nashville, will have trouble getting to the salary cap FLOOR??

The arbitrator gave the Canuck's WEBER today........1 year deal mean's Shea is our's soon....

Weber is still RFA at the end of next season as well.  Nashville has him for 2 more seasons unless he is traded.  But I agree, he is one of the players I would go after.  He still keeps a house in Kelowna so maybe his BC roots will bring him back home.

That's about as likely to happen as the Blackhawks getting him...

#1. The Canucks have only 2.5 mil. cap space this season, and about 49 mil. committed to just 14 players next season, making a trade unlikely unless the Canucks unload a major salary or two.
#2. If Nashville trades him before his contract expires, you can bet it will be to the Eastern Conference.
#3. Shea Weber has stated many times that he wants to stay in Nashville, and I believe he will end up signing long-term. Remember, the Preds can begin negotiating with him immediately.

Canucks could afford Weber's salary next season by unloading Ballard only.  With Raymond and Kesler on long term injury at the start of the season that would open up enough cap space.

RIP Rypien

Another scrapper meets his end this off season.

Rick Rypien must have had some issues/demons that none of us will ever know about.  I loved him as a player.  Pound for Pound one of the best scrappers ever., he could skate too!!  Something was wrong in this young man's life??

It hit's home for me, because Rick was younger than my two oldest boys?  I still consider my boy's babies??  Gonna be hard on his parents?

I feel for the family..................Such a waste.

4 game trip starts tonight in Columbus.  Sounds like Schneider gets the start (Randle will be happy).  2-2 is my prediction for the Canuck's on this trip, tough to play 4 games in 6 night's this early in the season.
