I am extremely confident in my lineup and most defensive spots for starters.  My pitching staff is deep but not a lot of elite talent.  I personally think my team wins if it is a short series or loses if it is a long one.

I think I have an edge on the bench and in the bullpen. My 1-3 starters could be argued as being better. I don't think the middle of my lineup is as good as yours (Yoshii, Jacobs, Caruso, Fitzgerald), but I like my depth from 1-8 or 1-9 depending on the ballpark. I think I've got more going on at the back of my order than you do, so I should conceivably be able to manufacture some more runs that way.

The back of my order gets on base pretty well, which is all I ask them to do besides defend.

Plus, all the switch hitter goodness is sexy.

I agree on the bench and bullpen though, which is sort of the foundation of my prediction.

6-9 had an average OPS of .717 in the regular season.  I am fine with that, especially because one of those guys hit 50-70 worse than I would expect.

Yeah, he is pretty decent.

Wish he was a starter, but definitely happy with the signing. With all the quality signings in the world, I was worried I was going to wind up getting shut out again. Before him, the only real talents I had seen were 1B/LF types that didn't really seem all that great to begin with.

I'm also currently leading on another guy that could be pretty useful depending on how much/what areas my projections are off.

Hate that they brought my next scheduled starter in as a relief pitcher that game, so he's not at 100% going into Game 2.

Do you have him set to be able to pitch in relief?

I checked that box in case I needed him to come in during the pivotal games agains VD in the NLCS. I know I forgot to uncheck it, but I'm still surprised they went with him ahead of the other guys available.

Rookie mistake.

A better bench coach stops that from happening.

That can't be true, can it?

I mean, it could be true, but I have been operating under the assumption that the bench coach did nothing unless the manager was ejected.

I can't believe the Pee Pee song got no love.

im tired of being so busy. disappointing we didnt make the HR WS, but the 3 best teams were the last ones standing, so cant really complain
