And Woodie Jacobs on his third MVP.

Well its nice to see my team didn't completely lay down in $.

am i missing something with the guy from Urd's team that is nominated for the NL ROY???
4/11/2011 10:03 PM
Probably a combination of 17 + plays, with a 20/20 season, in a season with few qualified rookies. Todd Williams and BC Lomanessy didn't make the cut

And of course, after I throw everything at Mercado figuring the odds of anything better coming this late in the season are slim, someone better shows up overnight... though I suspect he might sign for more than I had left anyhow unless no one sees him.

Damn.  Another exceptionally close game with another walkoff.
Tough breaks.

I have no clue why my team insists on putting Boshiers in over better pitchers, regardless of his position in the bullpen.
I usually put guys I don't want to pitch on rest and keep them there until fatigue comes into play.

I love me some Woodie Jacobs.

And pitchers coming into a tied playoff game at 83%.

This was the same logic that led me to not upping my bids on gonzales and suarez in $ as long as the player you got will help, that's aboutall you can ask for

Well, he's kind of borderline in some ways. He'll be a useful bat regardless (switch hitter with speed and good baserunning, middling contact/power, solid splits, and a great eye), but he's a CF/2B type with a glove rating that may prevent him from ever being able to play those positions if he doesn't get to where I saw his projections or very, very close.

Likely, it won't really have mattered, because there are a couple teams that have more money left than I had before signing Mercado, so as long as one of them sees this other guy, I wouldn't have gotten him anyhow.

I keep thinking I should give Hootie one more season before **** Bomber gets the DH gig.

Then again.... I could just let the guy retire and work on his golf game.

You could let him retire and prematurely promote him to be an ineffective Big league hitting coach like gin did with Joe Morton.

I'm seriously considering that
