This is really a matter of precaution.

If you keep all your valuables in your back yard and no one steals them is no reason to assume they will not tomorrow.

As James O Keefe clearly proved you can steal a vote very easily.

So groups like the now defunct ACORN created large numbers of fake registrations.

And now the Democrats dont want to prevent anyone from using all these fake registrations!

Anyone else see a pattern?

The term "Corporate Welfare" is a misnomer. It implies that Corporations are just getting free money.

What is refered to as Corporate Welfare is really just programs that the government supports to promote specific areas of development. It might not be a good idea, but it is common and Obama uses it to try to promote unpopular "green" programs.

On the other hand the idea that people cannot receive free money for life and have to get some kind of job at some point, and idea that received bi-partisan support during the Clinton Administration, was now arbitrarily ended by Obama. He needs to make sure that people know that he will pay for their votes, and pay for them with your tax dollars!

FUN FACT ABOUT THE REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATIC PARTIES:

In the 1850's, the Republican Party was essentially founded in order to stop the expansion of slavery into the western territories of the United States.

The Democratic Party was committed to keeping the institution of slavery intact.
