im sick of the putrid anti american record on gun control issues by the republican congress...
This is the main one I have an issue with. Gun control, in itself, is anti-American. Our constitution gives us the right for very, very good reasons.
Gun control isn’t anti-American or unconstitutional.
Um, it's both. Our founders put it in place as a resource to fight tyranny against the GOVERNMENT. The GOVERNMENT has no right to take that resource away.

To be clear, keeping guns out of hands of criminals and those with mental illness is not what I'm referring to. Banning guns is what I'm referring to.
Well, gun control isn’t banning all guns. So problem solved.
Banning any guns is unconstitutional. Plus, the guns that are targeted by the left are used for a very small percentage of all gun crimes. If the left really cared about preventing gun crimes, their focus would be on hand guns. But preventing gun crimes is not their goal.
Reasonable restrictions on what guns you can own are perfectly constitutional. You still have the right to bear arms even if you can’t own a rocket launcher and a fully auto .50 cal.
I can't argue the constitution with someone who doesn't understand the constitution. Sorry.

LOL what a cop out.

If your argument is that any weapon should be legal, YOU are the one on the extreme fringe of the issue.

Arguing that Bill Gates should solve for every poor person in America is far more naive than saying that the government should provide child care.
You completely miss the point. I am not saying that Bill Gates is a humanitarian because he gives to charity. He does, but that is not what I am talking about. Bill Gates is a humanitarian because he creates millions of jobs for people. That is how you help the poor. Create an economic environment that promotes hiring. Our current system definitely does not do that. Let me ask you a question. Do you know how much you cost your employer?
Employers don’t create jobs for humanitarian reasons. Don’t be ridiculous. They create jobs out of need.

The ignorance level around here has reached a new high. No Country can continue to give away more and more "free" things. Eventually, the people paying for all the "free" things are going to move away and leave the entire Country in a panic, and the people working hard to being at the bottom of the middle or the top of the bottom, are going to say "F it, getting free stuff is easier." and "free" is going to be even more expensive. Very basic, very simple, principals but well above the understanding of some here.

No ****. That's what makes capitalism a more moral system. Capitalism is in itself humanitarian. Nobody ever said their motives were humanitarian. They invest to make money. That investment leads to jobs. Your programs hurt this.

Or as stupid as saying all politicians are only out for themselves?
what? you think politicians are altruistic? There's more evidence to support my statement than yours.
There’s equally as much evidence that all trump voters are idiots as there is all politicians are only out for themselves:

anecdotal examples
there is absolutely no evidence that all trump voters are idiots. Some of them certainly are, maybe most of them, but I have yet to see any evidence supporting your statement that they are all idiots.
When was the last time a senator, congressman or president left office in worse financial shape then when he went i to office? I'll wait. My view may be cynical, and there may be a few politicians who are not out for themselves, but it is not too many.

I don’t have a “program.”

No one is arguing for the elimination of capitalism. Not even AOC or Bernie.
3/3/2019 2:52 PM
not if they want to keep the money train runnin
3/3/2019 2:53 PM
AOC and Bernie want the private market to be creative and produce and then they'll just take everything from them and spread it around. Doesn't sound like capitalism to me. Sounds more like socialism. Maybe because it is socialism. The only difference between their plans and true socialism is that the community doesn't own the means of production. The government just takes it once it produced.

The fact that people make money doesn’t mean they are only out for themselves.

Like what we do now and have done for 150 years?
3/3/2019 2:59 PM
You are right. We haven't had true capitalism in a very long time. The problem is that you and AOC and Bernie and the rest of the democratic party and a good portion of the republican party (although they would never say it publicly) want to take us much further towards socialism when we should be going the other direction.
