I'm about 4/5 through Book 2.  Super original stuff.  Really fun read.

Alright, I'm going to pick up a zombie hooker and take her out for a nice quesadilla.

Gotta take some advantage of the wife being out of town this week.

Watching last nights speech gave me mixed reactions.  obama taking the all the credit seemed to minimize what the team that actually did the dirty work accomplished.  You would think he actually was in the fire fight himself. 

If the real story of what actually happend from start to finish ever comes out it will be a very very interesting book/movie

Supposedly Bigelow is already pitching hard for the movie rights. And you saw a very different speech than I did.

i will admit I very well could have heard it differently.   I did find it very interesting and it was a great moment in US history.   What I could have done with out was the the  "I".  I just find Obama to be fake.  Obviously I am not a fan and I dont pretend to be.

And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta,(which anyone in his postion should have and would have done) the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al-Qaida, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network.

Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan. And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence ( 8 months later  what took so long?  and they are saying he has been there for 5 years)to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice.

Today, at my direction(again anyone in his position should have and would have done this very thing), the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.

Getting married Friday. Anything else interesting happen this weekend?

First, that's not Obama taking all the credit.

Second, I can think of a couple of examples of guys in Obama's position who "should have and would have done" and yet didn't. So I don't think it's such a terrible thing to re-assure the American public that someone is in charge actually capable of making the right call, and explaining in as much detail as he could the process by which that call got made.

Or would you have preferred he just invaded Pakistan in 2008, when the initial lead surfaced?

You should probably be buried at sea for watching Celebrity Apprentice, so maybe quit while you're only so far behind.

Watching John Rich, Meatloaf and Lil Jon cooperate while Star Jones tears her team apart is worth watching. Too bad the last few minutes were cut off this week, I had it recorded.
