I know this is primarily an Upstate thread, but if any of you guys are interested in joining a HBD world, let me know. Plumpy Rules!!!!1 has a couple of open spots. Most of the owners are HD coaches and we would like to have more join our ranks.

I am also in that league, great league, great coaches.

How time consuming is HBD?
3/11/2007 7:54 PM
Amp, depends on how time consuming you want to make it. The preseason is the most time consuming with coach hirings and free agency etc...but I have 3 HBD teams, I ahve never had a losing season at the ML level, and dont spend more than 15-20 minutes per team on a day when i decide i am going to spend more time on HBD once the season actually starts.

I've reserved Emory...you guys really saved me some quality teams there - Granville Waiters would have made a great point guard for these teams.

I spend 10-15 min a day on my HBD once the season starts. Every week or so, I spend an extra 20-30 min going through my minor league system and looking at trades.

Nice win Taz - your team put up some strong defense last night. I was surprised that my team had so many TOs. I'm guessing your team speed was the X factor.

Cant see any of my squads...away in the D.R....hd 2.0?...whats up...thanks

yes, hd 2.0 update, or so it would seem. Games are delayed until friday morning, so you can probably safely take a day or 2 off and enjoy the beaches and umbrella drinks.
Thanks sigs. I was certainly not expecting a win last night especially w/ my PG picking up his 3rd foul w/ 2 minutes in the 1st half, then kicking the ball in the stands to pick up the T and a 4th foul. Amazingly he played the 2nd half w/o picking up another foul.
I'm glad the defense showed up, because the offense is a train wreck right now. The starters are OK, but w/ so much youth and inexperience coming off the bench, the offense quickly goes into shut-down mode w/ the reserves. I might have to look at mixing up the starting lineups a bit to get some more experience off the bench.

anybody got suggestions on how to most efficiently run my team? With my lack of post presence, rebounds need to be maximized... and the lack of experience of the bench leads to shutdown mode on offense, like Taz said... I'll be tweaking things, but any suggestions would be appreciated
