I have relatives in Livonia...A bit older though...They went to Stevenson HS (when there still was a Stevenson). I spent weekends there while attending EMU

Also, I thought Fidrych was from Northboro, MA

There still is a Livonia Stevenson high school if you're referring to the school on 6 Mile west of Farmington.

This has bugged me since I posted...It wasn't Stevenson. I am blocking the name but it was near the Merriman/5-mile area

This may be odder then usual, but any Grenadiers here at WhatifSports? Anyone on this site attend Elk Grove High School?
I went to Wheeling High School, both were in the Mid Suburban Conference in the suburbs northwest of Chicago, Illinois.
The same blueprint must have been used for both schools. Elk Grove had steps in some places Wheeling had an inclined slope, or vice-versa. It was such an odd experience for me to walk through that building.
I am curious if anyone from Elk Grove went to an event at Wheeling and had a similar experience.
Anyway, attending basketball or soccer games at Elk Grove was one of the most bizarre experiences for me.
To be in what seemed like a parallel universe. To be in a place so familiar, yet different. One would turn the familiar hallways and expect to see the familiar displays, pictures, colors on the walls etc., but it was very different. Like being awake in a dream. Getting ready to enter the gym and to see a different Logo at center court, different banners honoring past teams.

Like entering your living room, and the floor plan was identical, but the furniture and furnishings were all different. very disorienting.

I don't know how I missed this post before, but I went to Elk Grove High School and I know exactly what you are saying. Before Elk Grove added the pool and the research wing they were the exact same school. The only real difference was the colors of the schools Elk Grove is green and gold and Wheeling is blue and gold (I think).

They are both 2 stories and shaped like a horseshoe. At Elk Grove each half of the horseshoe contained different classmen, so as a freshman having to walk through the senior portion of the horseshoe had the potential to be a nightmare (or at least as freshman we believed it did, and as seniors we made them think it did).

I remember Bentley. They tore that down and put up the Livonia Rec Center if I'm not mistaken.
