I also think If These Trees Could Talk - Above the Earth, Below the Sky should have made the list.

I'll see what of these are available on emusic and download accordingly. I slacked in music pursuit this year.

As did I... but I downloaded somewhere around 2100 songs the past week or so. Just crossed the 110 GB threshold.

Haven't heard either of those you listed, Robusk...I'll give them a shot. I kind of just threw that list together a little quickly...after some relistens, Spirit Spine needs to get moved way down and Real Estate way up...I love that band. I think they're Jersey, B0t.

Not sure if you will like them. Garage a Trois is some amazing jazz; If These Trees Could Talk is some instrumental post-rock in the Explosions in the Sky mold.

nice...114gb here, but a lot of that is me reripping my favorite albums in FLAC. And there's still at least 30 gigs that I'll never listen to again.

I have preserved the integrity of the size my keeping it strictly MP3s... I don't think any of them are encoded too poorly. Probably 10 gig of stuff I will never listen to and 5 gig of audiobooks though. I am just going through my second mass reorganization, which is a pain.

Really ******, I thought.

I'm fine with it. Not the best work for anyone involved, but I still appreciate the collaboration.

I need to find that album of Jim James covering George Harrison.

Yeah--I've wanted to listen to that--never got around to tracking it down.

Agreed..."******" isn't the right word...just kind of uninspired. Like everyone checked whatever edge or authentic voice they had at the door and just hammered out some songs. But I'm not the biggest Oberst fan to begin with, and I'm really hit and miss with M. Ward, too.

FYI, Mangum's got a new solo track out there now.
