Read up and feel free to check out the links to teams. I have been in it from the start and have thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way. Just for some reason this year we had some bad timing with our roll over and more turnover than expected. We have been in a holding pattern with 8-9 teams open for the past couple of weeks.

If you take a team it will mean alot to some good owners and tiny tim. Show your christmas spirit.

I third that. Hot Stove is one of my favorite worlds, and I would be heartbroken if it didn't fill soon.

I understand that M.L.H.B has a sort of bad wrap, but we have a really solid core of owners that have been there since season 1 or 2. At one time it was 15 deep, now due to the ridiculously long dead period, it has dwindled down to about 10. I have been there since season 2, and holds a special place in my heart, b/c it was my first HBD team. Pleas, I am begging you to pick us. I've been praying for an arrangement like this, that's why I started the thread PLEASE HELP SAVE A GREAT WORLD-M.L.H.B. It really is a great World, the recent bickering was caused by this unusually long layover we are experiencing. This would be one of the best Christmas present ever If you guys chose us!!!!!!!

I was just thinking the other day how I was strongly considering dropping one of my teams next rollover (a now successful reclamation project in a world that I have no real attachment to) and picking up a new reclamation project, so this sounds pretty sweet. One condition is that I'm probably gonna have to wait until I get playoff credits from Branch Rickey, which will be in 7 days.

Hell just put me as a "maybe" and I'll let you know a week from now.

The majority of those who cared one way or the other(most didn't have preference) chose ABU. Password has been sent to the first 12 who signed up as a definite. Around 10, I'll send it to the rest.

With the two additions last night, I think we have 9 more who are ready to join a world. Once we fill ABU, we can start considering a 2nd world if you'd like.

I think this is a great idea, and if work wasn't making me consider dropping teams rather than adding them, I'd be on this like a fat kid on a smartie.

I would be against trying to save MLHB...it is a world that should just go away...this is an effort to take a league with 10-12 openings fix the teams so other people are willing to commit to them long term. We as a group are not looking to stay in the leagues long term. Now that doesn't mean some of us will not stay long term but wolrds like MLHB that have 21 openings just need to go away. I know you said it holds a place in your heart because it was your first team but common man 21 openings...it seems like your one of the hold overs that just refuse to give up on the league...you guys have already been offered a christmas present and you should have taken it...just my thoughts.

Well I think I am a little late with this reply but better late than never as they say.

As the comissionar of the ABU I would like to formally invite you all to our league. Though I am not the original commissionar of this league (bdelon) I feel it is one of the best leagues running. It has a quality group of core owners but like most leagues it has a group of 10-12 owners every season just trying HBD out and are not committed to a team or don't know what they are doing and have a losing season, run the team down and move onto the next league/team.

We feel this is a league that could be a great league. It has a group of owners committed to growing the league. One such example is the blog. The blog started out strong with the old commish. When I took over I didn't have the know how to do it so santefe took it over and has been slowly building a quality blog.

With a group of quality owners such as yourself we feel that this league could develop into one of those top leagues in HBD. We are up to the challenge of adding some of the "top owners" to our league.
