It's a long season.  They'll be there at the end.

Great comeback tonight.  They really turned it up after giving up 2 quick goals.  Hossa is a man possessed, which is what I expected.  The D needs to sharpen it up...especially Keith and Seabs.  Crawford played great after those goals, too.

Nice win while short-handed tonight.  Hossa and Sharp were all over the place and Stalberg finally used his speed to set up a goal.  Turco was solid again.

Hopefully Kane will re-join Hammer in the lineup tomorrow against Buffalo.

Ugly win = 2pts.  Beautiful Blackhawks vintage win = 2 pts.  Either way, we'll take the points.

I'm thinking Bowman is looking hard for a solid veteran 3rd line d-man to take some decent chunks of minutes and be a steadying influence on Leddy.  I don't like him playing with Hendry or Cullimore.  When Campbell returns, that will help a bunch, but an upgrade should still be examined.

Over/Under on goals by Hossa this season.....45.5
O/U on goals by Sharp this season...39.5

Muddy, this is a  very important question for my pool.  Are the Hawks planning on giving Turco the bulk of the workload this year or are they going to split his starts with Crawford?
10/17/2010 12:25 AM
Turco will likely get 50-60 games, probably closer to 60.  He's a workhorse who stays sharp with lots of work.

Slow start = shaken off

What a great comeback tonight against a pretty good Blues team.  I figured we were gonna get beaten by a hot goalie when it was 2-0, but Mr Hossa was having none of it.  He's been unreal this season, and Sharp has been almost as good.  I'm sure glad all the naysayers can shut their pieholes for a while.  This team is superb.

Hossa is always good????........................Until he misses 30 games for an undisclosed injury!!!

Superb??

Hey where can I buy sport peppers??  Seriously, I can not find them anywhere.

I've yet to see Hossa suck at hockey.  Tell me about an undisclosed injury he's suffered in the past.

Yes, superb.

hossa is great, but he hasn't played a full season in a few years.  usually only missing eight to ten, but last year was twenty-five.  could be the beginning of a pattern.  sometimes guys start to get injured more as they get older, and hossa's in his thirties now.  playing like he's still in his mid twenties so far this year though.  :>

Tonight should be a good clash between two bitter rivals.  I'm betting Red Light Roberta won't get the start after last night and his recent history at being made our *****.

Woo hoo!!  What a great shootout win against Vancouver!!  Turco was great once again and the team is really looking good since the rough start.  Red Light played pretty well, but he was a sieve in the shootout.  At least he didn't give up 7.

I really liked the Stalberg-Dowell-Skille line tonight. They were intense, created a few good chances in limited ice time and were reliable defensively. I think if this is our 4th line going into the playoffs, they are better than the Eager-Fraser-Burish 4th line we had last season because they can bring alot more skill to the table and just as much size and intensity. They just need to work on their consistency and, as young players, that will come in time.

Now all we need is to find some wingers to flank Dave Bolland and we'll be asking "Dustin who" come April.

Speaking of which, without Byfuglien in his face I wonder what Luongo's excuse will be after a loss to the Hawks now...I really hope someone asks him tonight.

Like he'd man up and admit he's not that good.

I'm sure he finds someone else to blame.
