And who decides what "clear" evidence is? I'm sure there are some people out there who would say "the ball bobbled in Galarraga's glove and by the time he had full control of it, Donald was on the bag."
Hell, if Joyce had copped out with that, more people would be saying "yeah, maybe he has a point."
For the record, I'm playing devils advocate. I don't think Donald was safe, so don't put those words in my mouth.
Point is, the commish could say "we don't have clear evidence to overturn this", and 90% of the population could say "are you blind?? how much more clear can it get???".
And vice versa.
