Did Palin make Bachmann viable? Topic

Anti-dumb is the same as anti-Catholic?

Seriously, she's not a viable candidate by any stretch of the imagination.

She also paid for 6000 of those 4823 Iowa votes.  Yes, you read that right:

When I look for news, I know the first place I check is the student newspaper at Mizzou.

WTF is wrong with you blog/student paper guys?   Can't you find a credible source for news?
8/25/2011 4:59 PM
Oh, I heard it from my good friends at "The Five" and then I Googled for confirmation.

Girls in rainbow t-shirts are quite credible.

8/25/2011 5:04 PM
Didn't say it wasn't a credible story.    I said it wasn't a credible source.

You may have noticed that I was making fun of swampy supporting Bachmann before you were.
8/25/2011 5:09 PM
I'm gonna start quoting swampy for "news".   He's as good a source as rainbow shirt girl.
8/25/2011 5:10 PM
Fox's "The Five" is a credible source, but student papers aren't.  Gotcha.
8/25/2011 5:38 PM
I'm not quoting The Five.  Can you say the same about you and student papers?
8/25/2011 5:40 PM
I know you're multi-tasking, but try to follow along here, Mike.  I heard (or read) about the Bachmann vote-buying story a while ago; I forget where.  Reading this thread, I wanted to mention it and provide a link to a story about it.  I did a Google search and found that article.  Then when you questioned the source, I found a whole bunch more articles that said the same thing.

No, I don't read that paper, and had never heard of it before.  That said, I'm 100% certain those students are more honest and credible than anything Fox News has to offer.
8/25/2011 5:46 PM
First, 100% certain from a source you've never heard of?
Second, do you really think college age kids are more honest and credible than folks whose careers depend on their actions?

Both of those things seem kind of dumb.
8/25/2011 6:10 PM
Once again, I heard the Bachmann story elsewhere; I Googled to get that site.  The story is true, not because that student paper said so, but because it is.  What's your point again?  Is all that multi-tasking making you dizzy?

And yeah, I think the average college kid is more honest and credible than the talking heads on Fox News.

Let me ask you this.  When is "Fox News Watch" -- a program that supposedly covers stories about the news media -- going to cover the News of the World scandal?  Any idea why they've been ignoring the biggest news media story of the year?  Surely it's not related to their honesty and credibility!

THEY HAVEN'T COVERED GLENN BECK'S SELF DESCRIBED "PLANET-ALTERING" RELIGIOUS REVIVAL RALLY IN ISRAEL EITHER.

THEY MUST BE VERY EMBARRASSED BY IT'S ASSOCIATION WITH MR. BAT-**** CRAZY

"Fox News Watch" showing how credible and honest they are at the 45 second mark:

The difference between these cable news professionals and students at a school paper is that no one at the school paper has traded their integrity for a pay check.  They might be dumb, they might be inexperienced, they might dress badly -- but at this stage of their "careers" I think they're actually trying to be honest and credible. Could anyone say the same of the people in the clip above?
