He is in good company it seems.
He is. I voted for Trump as well but I only have dual Master degrees, not dual PhDs. I guess that means I have never attained that highest level of intellectual idiocy like your dad has.
I am actually going to tell him that some dude on a message board called him an idiot. He will laugh. That is one of the reasons he stopped voting blue. Thought the party and its principles abandoned him.

Dude, you brought your dad into this, not me.

I have never been a Democrat (nor a Republican for that matter) but I know a lot of people who feel the same way as your dad. They have been Democrats their entire lives but can't support them any more. They haven't changed, the party has.

Yep. But I am only calling him an Ahole not everyone who voted for HRC.
You can call me an Ahole, doesn’t bother me. Also doesn’t change the fact that trump voters, every single one, are idiots.
Anyone who votes for Hillary should be VERY careful calling anyone else an idiot.
Not when the other option was Trump. Clinton may or may not have been a good president, but we knew, before he was even elected, that Trump would be a bad one. And he’s been so much worse than even I thought he’d be.

They buy into Laura Ingraham’s hypothesis.

”What’s with all the brown people in my country???”

I was pretty shocked. He voted for Obama and really liked him. I told him that McCain deserved our vote because he is a war hero. After the first four years of Obama my dad not only voted for Mitt but changed his party from Blue to Red. I remain an Independent. He really feels as though the Blue party betrayed him. Rightly or wrongly. Thank you for that post, gomiami. You echo his sentiments exactly. He used to donate heavily to the Dem party too.

One of her adopted kids is "brown". Try again. Are you buying into the Lefitst lingo that white males should STFU since they are privileged?

You have that backwards. We had no track record of Trump as a politician. Hillary has been in politics her entire adult life. We knew that she would have been a horrible president. We had plenty of evidence of this. You don't like Trump because he is a lying, scandalous-ridden scumbag. Hypocritical much?

How so?
  • Economy is doing very well. Not just the GDP, but lowest unemployment and higher wages.
  • Iran has stopped harrassing our war ships and is on the verge of economic collapse
  • ISIS is close to being eviscerated.
  • North Korea stopped its taunting of Japan and South Korea
  • Embassy is moving from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and our relations with our only ally in the Middle East have never been better
  • Turkey is feeling the impact of our sanctions
  • Consumer confidence is up
He has made mistakes but what exactly do you dislike about his policies, not personna?

I'm sorry, b_l, but Clinton had to lose. The powerbrokers in this country actually wanted the American public to swallow a Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton election. We fought a war of independence to get away from this kind of hereditary aristocracy. Many of us voted against Bush in the primaries and Clinton in the GE to stop the inbreeding.

I'll do the same if a future Clinton, Trump or Obama ever decides to throw their hat into the ring. I'd much rather have Oprah Winfrey become President than any family member of past POTUS.

In some parts of the country it does seem like the America that we know and love doesn't exist anymore," Ingraham said. "Massive demographic changes have been foisted upon the American people. And they're changes that none of us ever voted for and most of us don't like."

She continued: "From Virginia to California, we see stark examples of how radically, in some ways, the country has changed. Now, much of this is related to both illegal and in some cases legal immigration that, of course, progressives love."

It’s almost as if someone with no track record in politics or policy-making will be woefully unprepared to take the most difficult job in the world.

8/14/2018 10:22 AM
She used poor word choces. I don't disagree. Below is her family. Three adopted kids, all from overseas. I doubt she is a racist. She is concerned that the Left is NOT concerned about illegal immigration. She tried to make a poignant statement but I 100% disagree with it.

8/14/2018 10:25 AM
You would think, but then you guys run a candidate who has been groomed her whole life and she is still woefully unprepared. I guess experience in politics isn't that important. Also, come to think about it, I recall a 2008 election where you guys ran a "woefully unprepared" candidate. Did you vote for Obama?
