Recped dagger the 76 Angels

So let's look at the options ...
The Angels have a couple lousy catchers. Feel free to use them.
They have a solid 252 PA 1B who would make for a nice platoon. An option there.
They have a couple 2B who are unremarkable and similar enough to other guys.
They have one pretty unimpressive 3B. You can have him.
They have one pretty unimpressive SS. You can have him.
They have a few outfielders whose best asset is speed. I'd rather you use most of them than the dangerous Tigers you've got available. So you can have them, too.
That's going to leave us with the pitchers. Their best option by far is Frank Tanana, whose $9.4M salary could be a bit prohibitive but with Howard off the table he's one of your two potential aces and his $/IP is actually quite reasonable. After that you've got Nolan Ryan, with a lot of Ks and a lot of BBs, but there are some better options from other teams for your rotation. No one else is particularly helpful.
The key, of course, is you have to use 6 of these guys and at most 3-4 of their hitters are worth considering. So if it were my team, I'd rather put the money in Tanana atop my rotation than anywhere else. And therefore, that's the reason he's got to go.
Bye, bye, Frank Tanana.
(As a side note, after building my team which is going to be heavily leaning to righty hitters, I am now reckoning with having just daggered lefty starters on two of my division foes and thereby damaging my own prospects. But it's still the best call here. Also, I lost Spahn to a dagger so the division's lefty hitters have been spared a lot of tough opponents.)
