Ribbentrop --

My team doesn't have too much power so I don't want to get reminded of it every time you come in to visit.

Therefore I dagger Jeff Burroughs (OF) and his 41 homers from the 1977 Atlanta Braves

But, which stadium do you want to not visit?

in case it got lost in all the traffic, feel free to dagger someone from my 27 Indians ermocito.

mavioric12 is going with the 77 Cardinals.

Kentol has the final round 4 pick.

Anyone who does not have kentol should try to do their dagger #1 before Monday if you can.

Ribbentrop also loses Atlanta Fulton County Stadium

I considered Jake, whose ERA looks better than OAV, but strong builds of your line up go from 1m over to 3m over if you lose your cheap 2B option. The replacement differential is much closer at C, RP, or OF.

Fare thee well, Freddy Spurgeon!

Eager to see your final OF and pitching staff after the cuts.

Do we post our final rosters in this thread?

Clayton Engelby has an interesting roster with a lot of different position players in the mix. What he doesn't have very much of is pitching. So let's lean into that, shall we?

I'm taking 1967 Phil Niekro off the table, along with your only pitcher's park, Milwaukee's County Stadium. This leaves you to choose between three hitter's havens: Sportsman's Park, Fulton County, and Fenway.

Gonna be a lot of scoring going on.

Yes, and I will start with mine.
I will post in the format I request, which makes it easy for me to double check.
If you build the team, you can quickly copy paste to a spread sheet, move the position and salary columns, and sort by date.
Any/all are invited to double check all the things.
Once roster is approved, I will back channel the league ID.
If you cannot read sitemails I send with that, tell in the main space.

My round 4 pick is the '57 St. Louis Cardinals
12/3/2023 10:25 AM
mavioric12 - The 1927 Pirates are a very nice hitting squad with a couple of decent pitchers. The '27 Red Sox and '57 Pirates do not offer you much help, but the 1977 Cards provides you with some quality depth in hitting and pitching. In particular the Cards provide a star catcher. As you have seen in the thread when it was my turn to pick my 4th round team, I narrowed it down to the '67 Tigers and the '77 Cardinals for a few reasons. One of them was to provide me with a quality catching option in the event Thurman Munson was daggered off of my '77 Yankee team. My dagger to you is obvious: say adios to 1977 Ted Simmons, who I feel is one of the best valued catchers in WIS. As you build your team your choices at catcher is pretty simple, it sucks.

I'm going to dagger Forbes Field which is a fairly neutral ballpark. You're left with the option of going with Fenway which will boost your hitting but not support your limited group of quality pitchers or go with Busch to solidify your pitching but slow down your excellent offense.

Good luck!

midknight - Your opening round selection of the '77 Yanks gave you some decent hitting and pitching options. However, the 2nd and 3rd teams you were given certainly don't offer you much help. You recovered somewhat with the '67 Tigers which will allow you to put together a pitching staff.
At first I thought I'd go after one of your SP's - but the more I look at that scary '77 Blue Jay roster the more I think a better dagger would be to strike there. I'm going to cause you more of a headache trying to chose which 6 Blue Jays you'll use by eliminating Bob Bailor.
Tiger Stadium and Exhibition Stadium are very hitter-friendly, so I'll leave you those along with Cleveland Municipal Stadium and take away Yankee Stadium.
