not gonna happen. Briere to Philly is going to happen. Drury is going to get a blank contract from Buffalo, he can fill in however much he wants to be paid.

They're trying to figure out how to hang onto Zubrus under the cap, but Drury's making HIM rich too.

I hate Gomez - I'm not sure I can root for him. It's like when the Yankees signed Wade Boggs - all I could think about was when he sat out the end of the 1986 season to win the batting title over Mattingly.

How are they going to pay Shanahan, Prucha, and Lundqvist? I can't believe they gave Gomez 7M/year.

prucha was not consistent at all-he won't get a huge offer from another team and if he does, they will let him walk, shanny wants the cup and sees the ranger's moves as bringing him a step closer-so he'll take another incentive filled contract and lundquist will cost some to keep for the next couple years (he won't get a depietro contract-thank god) but sather also has montoya waiting in the wings-may back up lundquist next year-or keep him as the mumber 1 in hartford-but sather knows he'll have a miller/biron situation in the next 2-3 seasons and will have an asset to play with and ntbaer- i hated holik alot more than gomez and if SG can help bring us the cup-i can live with it.

once lundqvist is offered $5M by another team and the rangers can't match, i'm not sure shanny will stick around either.
