Randle...just giving credit when credit is due?
You know I would rather crown Schneider number one, bring up Lack as back-up.....trade Luongo and add ONE TOUGH SOB, and one true POWER FORWARD with Luongo's 10 mil gone we would have lots of options.

We can only dream though.....cause we are stuck with Luigi, so make the best of it?????

The St.Louis game was one game that had me worried but all is well that ends well. Hitchcock should be the coach of the year if they keep playing as well as they have. Is Luo make $10 mill this season? I thought it was a front loaded contract but I could be wrong. As long as we keep winning games I don't really care who's playing anymore. Look at teams like Washington. They would love to have the goalies we got. Even the Rangers for that matter. Lundquist gets hurt and that team falls big time.

I would love to see the Caps miss the P/O's. I would also love to see OV picked last in the All Star game and Kessel laughing and taking pictures of OV pouting in the stands. That would be classic.

Luo's salary is 6.7 this season and a 5.3 cap hit. Not sure how those #'s work but thats what I found.

Lu's cap hit is 5.3.....I guess we got in the habit of calling Lu the 10mil dollar anchor.  And YES the contract is front loaded.  Lu will be bought out in 5 seasons.  When Lu makes 1.6, then 1.0, 1.0 and 1.0 the team can add the remaining contract money together (4.6 mil) and spread the cap hit out over an additional 3 years......So when Lu gets bought out the Canuck's will absorb 650k cap hit for the remaining 4 years + 3 years,  a lot better than keeping 38 year old LU at 5.3 per.

One thing about the Canucks current front office, they do know the cap.  They know exactly when they are going to buy out Luongos contract to minimize the effect of the cap hit.  They also know exactly when to bring back players off of IR to maximize injury cap relief.

Doan would be a perfect fit for Vancouver, just what we need

Tanev called up.  Didn't hear about any new injuries since Salo.  Does this mean Ballard is on the way out?  If only someone would take on his 4 mil salary to be a number 6-7 D man

Great win Vs the Hawks last night. The Hawks were really taking the game to us after the 1st period but Schnieder played fantastic and won the game for us. Great OT goal by Daniel Sedin. The Hawk players were just in awe watching the Sedins pass the puck around. Next up will be a real test Vs the  Red Wings. They should play Schnieder again. The kid is hot.

5-2 win over the Wild tonight. Got tickets to the Canucks Vs Oilers in Edmonton on the 19th.  Hopefully they score a goal. Last year I took my kid to his first NHL game and the Canucks lost 2-0 to the Oilers. Team seems pretty solid. I thought Henrik might sit out but he played. Good thing, I think he got 3 points. Schneider played well when needed.
