many protestant sects only believe in the gospel of mark because they dont accept the parthenogenic birth.
if you dont believe me read Mark.....jesus is born the normal way...and is adopted by God while being baptised by John.....more like a foster child.

To believe in a concept such as the "immaculate conception" requires something of the believer.

1. A suspension of your knowledge of the human body and how it functions.

or

2. An ability to accept some sort of "un-natural" mating resulting in the pregnancy of Jesus' mother (Mary?)

Perhaps you can explain away the latter option by ascribing to some sort of "coupling" with "God"?????

I have no idea HOW you can explain away the 1st choice. Hence my spiritual infidelity,

How would Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, etc have any knowledge of 'Horus', and how would they have written their chapters of the bible about the exact same thing 50 years later if it was not real. USE YOUR BRAIN.

By your logic, the bible was also based on Moby Dick. Did you watch them write the words? There was no way for that info to reach all of the writers of the gospels the same way in different places. It just makes more logical sense my way, and the actual writing of the bible backs it up.

the christian bible mostly has much to offer except for the issue of salvation...that you must accept jesus as savior or you are denied afterlife......it was a regretful proposition......politically motivated......and harmful to western civilization that followed christianity when it became the ruling western religion.

I actually respect those that have the faith and don't need the facts. I wish I could be like that.
