I see no reason why a world should be forced to fold. Whats the purpose? Why does it even concern owners that are not in these worlds? If these owners wish to sit in a world and not play the game that should be there choice. I think a policy of forced closure will create more leagues not being able to fill, worlds that would normally fill but need say 8 to 10 teams will become red flag leagues to a owner that does not wish to take on a rebuilding team because of fear that the league might fold in 4 or 5 seasons. I think forced closures will cause unintended long term problems.

I don't see a need for it.... they would if they went public. Its the public teams teams that are open to everyone and are sucking the life out of HBD as we all wait to become the world showing up with the least amount of openings to fill. Private leagues don't factor into this. I know Harold Reynolds was a private world and we opened it up publicly to help get it filled quicker (which currently is not working).

I don't agree with you but it isn't up to us.

I agree with Plague. I also don't think that WIS has to do a damn thing about it. They certainly don't need to GIVE anything to the people just sitting on their ***** waiting for a "bailout" offer of multiple teams.

Sitting around doing nothing should not be rewarded.

good point.... 16+ open teams in one season is a ridiculous # though.

Unless Wis can increase demand (maybe with promos) or decrease supply (closing deadbeat worlds).... anyone with 8-10 teams is redflagged anyways since who will join them if worlds with 3-5 openings keep showing up. I'm ready to fold and just give up my team since its been about 30 days and we've went from 8 openings to 7, same with 2 other worlds (gehringer, gehrig). I've heard others say the same thing, I've seen people hang it up for this reason. Thats why deadbeat worlds concern all of us, and should concern wis. Too much supply, little demand..... at some point HBD will become as useless as snap bracelets once we are all sitting around for 3 months before starting a new season, again, creating an even larger gap between supply and demand.

People want to see something happen. They will be disappointed with the end result but, as long as nothing happens, they will believe something good will come from closure of what are apparently dead worlds.

look at worlds like sandlot - they are going the wrong way (now at 14 openings)... thats cause we are all SMing their weakest teams and telling them we have better teams and less openings to fill. thats probably not a good thing for wis.... too much supply, too little demand. owners wouldn't be deserting worlds if they knew they would fill.

At this point, we shouldn't have unstable worlds. If we do, mistakes were made.

That does not mean that a world should die because of a mistake or mistakes. A arbitrary number basically dooms a world if a mistake is made. I have said multiple times how will this effect a owners thinking when joining a new world. Not every owner can or is welcomed into a elite world.

at this point - any world with 16+ openings in one season is already doomed. And sandlot is heading in the wrong direction as we speak... that world will is doomed as well. They will never fill w/o a promotion or a reduction in available worlds.

The commish in UBA Inc. is working at filling the league but the interest in the game is waning. A lot of owners who like the game have many teams, but don't want to add another. Unless we get some new blood in here, there are going to be a lot of leagues waiting for weeks to roll over. There's nothing wrong with UBA Inc. Heck, four of our nine open teams were in the playoffs. We're not screwing over the noobs. It's just hard to find owners.
