15. robusk - Artis Gilmore, Kawhi Leonard - I almost took Kawhi instead of Klay. In the end, I wanted the consistency/predictability of Klay ... and the threes. I felt he was unique. Kawhi is a hoss, though! Nice usg+efg+def option, good boards/turnovers in that battle. A little low on ast% and minutes, not to mention that you've only got 4 tier 3 or higher usage seasons... but fortunately, you already drafted a heavy minutes, consistent guy in Artis, so you can flex that quite well. Also not like there's not many SGs out there that you can pick up one season of higher usage if you end up needing it at that spot. I had Kawhi as a late 1st-early 2nd grade.
16. amerk1180 - Tim Duncan, Dikembe Mutombo - Some of the top owners have picked up paint monsters, and paint monsters are so good in the sim... so getting top defensive dudes at the 4 & 5 is quite smart. Mutombo gives you solid rebounding no matter what season you choose (and elite boards a couple of them). He also gives you pretty solid efg% even if his usage is lower. I had Mutombo at an early-mid 2nd grade.
17. mptrey - Magic Johnson, Kevin McHale - There's few guys out there that give you the consistent win of usg+efg+def that McHale gives you; he also is a clean tov% guy with decent boards depending on where you play him. Oh, look, you have Magic who gives you a strength on the boards in the back court. I really like this pairing. I had McHale as an early-mid 2nd grade.
18. 20ks - Kevin Garnett, Karl Anthony Towns - KAT gives you boards, threes, high usage at a good efg%... with not good defense... and only 4 seasons. Is this too high for him? I don't think so. I had him as a late 2nd-early 3rd grade, but it was based purely on the only 4 seasons thing. He really covers some of KG's weaknesses, who in turn covers some of his. Nice pairing.
19. jcred5 - Giannis Antetokounmpo, Gary Payton - The Glove is the best defensive point guard in NBA history, and he's pretty well represented in the sim. He's the kind of PG that I'd be worried restricted my future picks with several low-to-mid 20% ast%, but when you've already got Antetokounmpo on the squad, that immediately nullifies any of that. You've got usage, threes, solid efg%, solid ast%, and elite D coming from the Glove along with decent tov% and strong drb% some seasons - and plenty of good seasons to choose from. Lot of minutes, too! I thought Glove might slip to the end of round 2 or even early round 3 when this thing started, but by the end of round 1, I knew that was a pipe dream. I have Glove as a solid mid-2nd grade. This is a great pairing.
