Hawks make it 2-1.  

hawks tied it up on a nice shot from mayers, i think.

Hawks lose. My take.... Offense still has speed and hustle - looked pretty good. Defense looked pretty bad.

Not too worried yet...if the pre-season meant anything, Brandon Bochenski would be the league's best player, followed closely by Viktor Stalberg.

Why would you worry at all?  Pre-season means zero.

Hawks will be just fine once the season starts and the games count.  I don't care if they lose every game 10-0.

LOL...I know they'll be healthy to start the season, but tell me that when the Sharp and Kane surgeries were announced my words didn't seem prophetic about the injuries, hehe.

In any case, this roster is really intriguing to me. The fact that McNeill and Danault were already sent down while Saad is still at camp says alot about both his ability, maturity of his game and how high the club is on him. It'll be interesting to see how long they look at him for before cutting him, which I believe they absolutely will.

Hard to believe watching him so far that he went 43rd overall.

Saad will be sent down after the game.  He is playing tonight because he's from Pittsburgh and the Hawks are a class organization and are letting him play in his hometown.  He is rocketing up the prospect chain for sure. 

Saad has looked great in prospect camp and still looks great now in training camp.  He has been a nice gem in the draft so far.  Doubt he makes the team this year.  Already too many NHLers vying for too few forward remaining spots.

I have a bit of a weird question, if Salak makes the team and keeps #53, would this year's Hawks be the first team ever with 2 goalies with jersey numbers in the 50s?

On an unrelated but strange note, it seems that Jeremy Roenick, a fairly active "tweeter" has disappeared from the site...has anyone heard anything about this?
