That wouldn't bother me either. He's a freakin hitting coach. Who cares. I could see all the media attention getting to him though and him saying the hell with it.

If management ever tried to force McGwire out **** would hit the fan. The front office doesn't mess with Tony. It was LaRussa's decision to bring him in and it will be his decision to let him go(which will never happen unless McGwire wants to leave himself).

If management ever threatened to get rid of McGwire, LaRussa would probably quit. The front office knows it too. They don't mess with Tony.
