toddle, I just sent you a sitemail which hopefully will clear up the confusion.

I am accepting toddleduc's bid on SF's IF.

So- what's the status on fines?

I assume nobody has been fined yet?  So are we just eliminating fines altogether?  I don't see the points of having rules if they aren't going to be enforced.

Some of you guys are really good at jumping to conclusions.  I said it before- until I find out exactly what happened, I'm not fining anyone.  Once I get the full story, I will make a determination as to who should be fined and how much.

I'm asking questions here- what story are we lacking?
11/10/2010 2:51 PM

No, you're making a leap to "No one has been fined yet" to "Eliminating fines altogether".  That's a big gap.  Umdterp claimed there was a bid that was deleted yesterday, prompting him to bid on San Diego and setting off the chain reaction.  I am in contact with WIS to see if I can confirm that.

CS has been given the page of the forum in question and is looking for a deleted post.  Fines will be announced after CS gets back to me.

That's what my impression was but I wasn't entirely sure and thus posed it in question form.

That wasn't the impression your initial post gave.  It seemed to imply that there was nothing coming.  It's usually not what you say, but how you say it.  Although with a typed message sometimes subtleties like tone gets lost.

Fines are withheld from next season's disbursement anyway, right?

Things are getting interesting down the stretch :-))
Great job with everything Matt... seems a very fair way to handle it & all of the disputed dominos are still active so that's fair for everyone... Been fun & interesting just like Monopoply... Cheers & Good Luck, everyone !

Tone absolutely gets lost in text unless you use emoticons

* I did have a question & apologize if it has been asked and aswered...
Doing this from work on the fly in a minimized window so I don't get fired, lol (hopefully)
Once again- I apologize in advance if this is redundant & probably in the rules somewhere

Going Bankrupt-
Whoever goes bankrupt 1st picks last in the supplemental ?
And whoever has the most cash remaining picks first ?
And does having $1 million left constitute as "not going bankrupt ?"
Or is anything less than $5 mil considered bankrupt ?

11/10/2010 3:19 PM
Bankrupt is when you have unfilled units and < $5M to spend it.

So if I spend $96M on Toronto RP, I am bankrupt since I could not afford to fill all of my units.  If I spend $95M, I am bankrupt once I fill one of my empty slots with a $5M unit, etc.
11/10/2010 3:22 PM
Also, having $0 after filling all five of your units is not going bankrupt. It's just a balance of $0 so you'll pick last of all the full teams, but ahead of all the bankrupt ones...
