duece_duece...where the heck are your picks????
The guy who has the last pick in a round should NOT take that as a pass...that they have til the next morning to make their pick(s)! It is NOT fair to everyone else who is on the clock and has to be worried about being skipped! The five or six guys after duece had PLENTY of time to pick tonight instead of waiting til morning, but now, probably not. God, I just HATE wasting hours of drafting time when most people are still awake and could be making picks! duece is usually so dependable when in the middle of a round but at the end is proving not so much.
Commish, you made this argument during the last draft and I still, respectfully, disagree. Other than how frustrating it is to not see any picks overnight, I don't understand what benefit you are expecting from staying ahead of the clock. For seven drafts now we sometimes get ahead of the clock, but we always catch back up and and go on the clock, and then we keep moving forward.
The guy who has the last pick in a round...This is not a problem with the last guy at the end of a round. As specs keeps showing us, anyone can stall the draft and put it back on the clock. (btw specs, glad to have you back. Thanks for stepping in and helping to keep this going)
It is NOT fair to everyone else who is on the clock and has to be worried about being skipped!... I don't believe this. Being ahead of the clock is a short term convenience. It is guaranteed to go away and no one should depend on having it as a strategy to avoid being skipped.
duece is usually so dependable - HUH? Love ya deuce, but it got to the point in the early drafts when you could have run a pool for which round he would disappear and be skipped for multiple rounds before coming back, picking from the trash heap we had all left and still beat us to a pulp during the season.
I expressed frustration with the six day marathon called round one. I respect the patience with which you dealt with those picks. But I don't agree that anyone not making a pick before they have to is a big issue.
