Thanks guys, memories are important in times like these.
78/79 Western Conference Finals
Suns' down 2-0 games 3 & 4 @ home
Game 3: After arriving to the arena for game 3, another attendant and I discovered a quarter sized hole, behind a desk, that just happened to have a clear view into the Sonics' locker room. After hanging on Coach Wilkins' every word during the pre-game strategy talk, I figured, "man this is too cool. I have to share this with someone." I proceeded to give coach McLeod all the info he needed to lead the team to victory!
Game 4: See game 3.
Game 5: Sun's win in Seattle. Up 3-2.
Game 6: Surely, all I would have to do is pass along the Sonics' game plan to the Suns' coaches once again and Phoenix would be headed to the finals! I knelt to the floor, looked in the hole and it was blocked! Couldn't see squat. Not only was it blocked, but there was another eyeball looking right back at me! That damn Freddy Brown with Wilkins right behind him. I was busted and the hole was plugged, never to be used for stealing NBA strategies again. Suns' go on to lose game 6 by 1 lousy point. Surely my information would have been worth 2 points and the course of NBA history would have been changed by a 16 year old kid.
