How about a tab under trade search that allows you to search for players youd be interested in based off certain attributes like you do for Free Agency? An example if i need a Power hitting younger player i should be able to use categories along with age to find players that meet that criteria... rather than looking through each team roster to find someone I like!
+1000 lol. So much time wasted looking for specific player types
I am all for this, but I just thought of a downstream side effect to this -- there is a very real possibility that you end up getting more garbage trade offers. Not a huge deal because you can just reject and move on, but just a thought.

The overall value that this addition would bring is at least a net gain though so I am all for it.

Also if I have players with above avg defensive ratings I have noticed that they make errors because they are “too good” to play the position. Example in a league I have a player in RF whose ratings have him able to play 2nd Base, I already have a better defensive 2nd baseman at that position... yet he has 2 errors in the first 3 games... since when is being too good make a player have errors if anything they should rarely have them.

I see this all the time with 3B types playing RF. Makes no sense, I specifically remember one plus fielding 3B leading the league in errors for RF

Tell me if this holds true anywhere else but RF. Look at the Range Factors - the busiest RF in any world is handling about 1.75 chances per game. Anything that happens less than 200 times in a season is IMO by definition a small sample.
It's why so many of us put a catcher out there.

How about this one, create a trade rumors page under news or reports. Said page would list all players that have been involved in proposed trades (obviously no details as to what teams are involved and what the exact proposal is). This would hopefully cut down on noob hunters and might spice up the trade market a bit. Its also fairly realistic as, for the most parts teams know what players are openly available .

Another idea in regards to trades, is to move the trade proposal button to the TC menu, where a player needs to TC a prospective trade partner first, and then said partner would need to push a button say "open negotiations window" and then trade proposals can be made.

This is really outside of the box but I love it and vote in favor of it.

Jumping in late and haven't read through the entire thread, so let me know if this is redundant.

What about emails or push notifications? Would be great to know when you get a trade chat or a trade proposal.

It would be nice to see the career progression of ratings when viewing players on other rosters. Currently, you see Current, Projected and any other progressions through that season. But say you are looking at trading for a 32-year-old player. You want to know if the player has started to decline, right?

You used to be able to see those ratings. They changed it a while back to make advanced scouting more relevant. But I do agree that it would be nice to have it back.

I think also a small fix would be to have a setting when deciding what innings a pitcher is available, to have a setting deciding the latest a pitcher can go into a game... many relievers you out any but never put which inning is the latest they can appear... example I have 3 RP I set them for innings 7,8,9 when they are available well the simulation can still decide to have another RP that says ANY be called in during the late innings... so allowing me to say these pitchers are available innings 6&7 instead of 6 or later gives me more control over how my manager and bullpen coach will call in certain pitchers in the proper order.

I think it would be interesting if they made it possible to choose which part of the order pitchers were eligible to come in against. That way you could set it where your best reliever is coming in against the best hitters.

Following up on strikeout26, not sure if you are talking about a numbering system, but what about adopting the current baseball terminology? We already have closer, but instead of Setup, Long Relief and Mopup, what about Setup, Middle, Long and Behind (or some other term, like Trailing). The first three are obvious, Behind would be in losing scenarios. This is what most MLB teams currently do. They have their winning bullpen and losing bullpen. I know the B option currently in place is supposed to be part of that option, but it doesn't work as well as it should. And I know there is the innings designation in the player settings, but it also doesn't prevent a pitcher you designate for not coming in before the fifth inning from coming in during the eighth when you might have a better option available.

this is a real minor thing and I may have mentioned it somewhere already, but when you click on a retired player and open up his window, there's no indication of any kind to note if he's in the Hall of Fame or not. It should be listed in his awards section, and it would be really cool to have a little HOF plaque icon by the clipboard.

When trading it would be nice to have the option to trade more than 3 players to avoid 2-3 separate deals for a Star player making it look weird this people vetoing part of the 2-3 part deal... also being able to trade draft picks for the season you are currently in would be cool, you could make a private world rule where players who have not been in the league prior to that season cannot trade their picks
