Yes.  I believe WifS tweaked minor league fielding because teams were having 100+ errors at the A/S break in the minors.  It's rather similar to that .350 hitter turning into a .210 hitter.

I hadn't put much thought into the next commissioner of MLB.

The Mets have the resources.  A baseball brain should be able to turn them around.  When all depends on what route they take. I can't believe a team would be willing to waster Santana, Wright and Reyes in order to "build from within".

That would be a good idea.

It's in Detroit.   That's an American burial ground.

ESPN has reportedly fired John Miller and Joe Morgan fron SNB and some folks are up in arms.  Who watches a baseball game to watch/listen to announcers anyway?

Their contracts expired.  That is not fired.   If so, the Yanks fired Jeter.  The Rangers fired Lee.  Nonetheless, people who listen to announcers are the people who do so in order to complain about the announcers.   They're mostly background noise.  You should be able to hear what you find interesting and tune out the rest.

Thanks for correcting me.

I see there are two openings in Steinbrenner.  I sitemailed the commish yesterday and haven't heard back.  What is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a return yea or nay before I remind him of my interest (other than posting on the classified thread)?
