that doesnt happen as much as you think and it already takes literally many years for the process to bring someone here......... and most of the time the parents coming over are much younger then 65........and they work in their communities...and even on social security the family is putting in more into the economy.

So you would be OK then stating that people have to be younger and work at least 20 years to be eligible for Medicare and SS? I think it happens a lot.

no...i am for family reunification in all circumstances..i said that your objection is not as prevelant as you think and most people come here bringing money...esp a lot of asian people.

Sanctuary cities won't hold a criminal. Forces ICE agents to go into the community to apprehend them. Puts citizens and immigrants at risk. The sanctuary is for criminals, not immigrants.

My contention is you are fighting a losing battle if you are for harboring criminals, no matter where they come from.

A key role of government is to protect the citizens. Governors and mayors who give orders to law enforcement to obstruct will suffer consequences..

Sessions will enforce the laws on the books. It is his job to do so...

Trump is offering more than many conservatives are wanting, more than he campaigned for. I see it as a very humane gesture to allow kids born in this country, of no wrongdoing on their part, to stay, and be provided a pathway to citizenship. You wouldn't likely get this from Pence if he was running the show. I suggest they take the deal. The Senate could nuke the 60 votes, and force a deal that might offer less. Food for thought.

In return he wants to secure the border, something both parties, up until recently, had voted in favor of several times...
