That was me...and agreed. Really underrated, too. Erika whatever her name is, is a serious talent. I think the AC only sucks relative to Strawberry Jam. If it were some other band, I'd like it a lot more.

I thought it was you but I didn't want to go back and look to be sure. Your top 10 list is pretty good... although Garage A Trois still needs to be in it.

Also, I wanted to ask you, what do you think is the better McCaughan project: Superchunk or Portastatic? Everyone always says Superchunk but I think the recent Portastatic shows way better range than even the post-Indoor Living stuff Superchunk did.

Also, people need to hook into 31knots. They are simply too sick I don't seem to ever run into any other fans of their's.

It has its moments...there's a two minute stretch of In the Flowers that's just awesome--and My Girls, Summertime Clothes, and Brother Sport have their moments. I agree--it's a seriously flawed album, almost lazy at times, but they still make enough inventive sound that a mediocre album is still worth listening to.

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones were a lot better before they started sounding like a Dave Matthews cover band.

That can be said about Dave Matthews band as well.

The new release from Pumpsie Green's Cleat is really imaginative and thought-provoking.

patrickm was really pushing Surfer Blood on me. Lawyark would like that one.

I've listened to it once...it was all right, but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would from the hype.
