Eaton may not go tonight. Here's a good article on the Pens #3-6 defensemen if Eaton doesn't play.
Chris Lee has been called up to Pittsburgh, apparently to play tonight against Ottawa if Mark Eaton can't go. Sergei Gonchar, on the other hand, is scheduled to return to the lineup. If Lee plays, how's this for an incredibly misleading stat? The six defensemen in Pittsburgh's lineup tonight will have an average of 283 games of NHL experience per man.
It's pretty obvious to see why that's misleading.
| Defenseman | Career NHL games |
| Sergei Gonchar | 938 | |
| Martin Skoula | 736 | |
| Nate Guenin | 13 | |
| Ben Lovejoy | 5 | |
| Deryk Engelland | 4 | |
| Chris Lee | | 0 | |
The bottom four D in Pittsburgh tonight, if Eaton's out, will have 22 career NHL games (and 1,150 minor league games including 305 in the ECHL) between them.
