I can definitely see your point ash, but how else would it work? If you only allow a 1 hour time slot for the 10 pm pick then allow the draft to continue, will it actually speed things up? I mean most people sleep at night anyway right? And what you end up creating is a round the clock free for all. If the 1st guy in the morning has a draft slot time, why would it be okay for that guy to be able to select before his slot if they guy before him has not picked? Nobody else gets to do that.
Yeah, I actually got to thinking more about it and figured out why it is the way that it is. I still think there should be some kind of penalty for making your draft pick 10 hours after your time starts, but oh well!
I do want to address this, though:
"If the 1st guy in the morning has a draft slot time, why would it be okay for that guy to be able to select before his slot if they guy before him has not picked?"
Because that guy missed his draft slot. Remember the NFL a few years ago when Minnesota or somebody missed their slot and four or five teams rushed their picks in? It should be that way. Consequently, if Joe Blow is the last pick of round 3 (and round 3 is the last round of the day), I don't reckon they'd let the first pick of round 4 jump in since round 4 wasn't scheduled to start till the next day.
Anyway, it's just a meh situation, and as long as schwarez doesn't **** me on it tonight, I'll be okay. I'm going to be mad as hell if I have to get up at 9:30 to make my pick. The WIS draft schedule is not east coast/night owl friendly!
