Actually I debated Kidd vs Payton last year in round 2 and took Kidd. This year was Nash vs Payton - both times I passed on the glove. I was a pt gd so take this stuff personal!!! Lol. My convo with ash was about a diff pick

remember last season when i finally put us on the clock and the first time we had a long wait for an owner the earliest we could skip him was in....you guessed it...24 hours? that was fun

Two ways to look at that ashemael. 1. It's the weekend, so no one has to worry about work, and SHOULD be able to make their picks easier. and 2. People have more things to do in the line of chores/socializing and so on. My take on 2 is that "if you're doing chores, you SHOULD be able to check in at your computer now and again to see where the draft is, and you shouldn't be socializing in a pandemic. I think there are LESS excuses on a weeklend frankly

It's just frustrating when you are clicking "refresh" every 15-20 minutes for three hours and you find yourself still waiting for SOMETHING to happen and is DOESN'T! Having baseball and golf on the TV doesn't help either lol
My take is: It's the weekend, don't expect me to be glued to a computer or even checking in multiple times on my phone to see "if I'm up" because I might have plans with friends or family. If anybody here is telling their kid or girlfriend, "**** off, I need to check and see if I'm up in the draft!" then - in my opinion - you need to re-evaluate your priorities.

The only reason I've been around today is because my plans fell through and so I've just been a lazy sack of **** and sat here watching youtube, playing video games, and checking wis every so often.

im not ashamed to admit i pulled a "**** off" tonight...i mean i kinda sorta had to ask first but i made it clear - tonight i will be getting drunk and playing that stupid ******* game on the computer

I’m eager too but it’s 3:30am in Italy so I’m just going to accept that no more picks will be made tonight and hopefully we can be more productive tomorrow.

I'm sorry dude, but as seriously as you guys take this draft (and many of you have been looking forward to it since halfway thru season one), I think everyone can be a little more vigilant about being ready than THIS don't you???
i think we are killing it actually....we had a great morning

albi lives in a different time zone and is pretty new to the sim...not much we can do about it...i dont want to turn away a potential new owner just because hes in a different time zone...i can talk to him about proxies but its tougher to do in this draft, especially as we move past the obvious picks

Not saying everyone should get divorced, but I would bet we'd all be happier doin the NBA thing, and living in a "bubble" somewhere with each other, with a fridge full of beer in every room! LOL

Nah. This is a hobby. I have several hobbies. I admit, I do get a little frustrated when I'm only a few picks away and someone is not around and doesn't make their pick till after I know the dude(s) in front of me are in the bed, but I too have a weird schedule and try to keep that in mind when I'm tempted to ***** about other people's apparent lack of courtesy.

I am, however, getting a little grumpy right now, so I'm gonna go do something else. Probably eat a bite, take a shower, check in here, then dive into the studio or watch some netflix.

you gotta just let go of things you cant control

consider the alternatives...

1. i kick albi out - total dick move...and we wait while i try to find an owner who wants to take over a team with two picks already made

2. someone picks for albi - impossible for bias not to enter into it

3. we go on a clock - clock wouldnt start until monday...i cant put us on a clock tomorrow without giving a fair warning to everyone

Right. I get the frustration Amerk, I’d love to make another pick tonight, but we have such a small user base as it is and a new guy comes along who seems nice (and is actually good btw! 2nd best ODL debut ever) and I guess it’s best if we just try to talk to him about proxies or checking in on a mobile device if he’s not at home instead of trying to run him off. We can’t exactly change the rules and skip him while he’s asleep.
