What an enjoyable draft.
First I appreciate ermocito doing the work as commissioner this time. It's a lot of work.
My division mates did a good job screwing my team and then daggering it too.
Making my final roster was a real problem.
The first decision to make was which two outfielders would I roster out of Al Simmons, Ty Cobb, Riggs Stephenson and Hack Wilson. I really wanted Hack and Al as Riggs and Ty were both number one or two hitters and I already had Max Bishop and Jimmy Dy kes to fill those spots in the lineup. Al and Hack were more number three and four hitters so they fit my team better. But of course they were the more expensive ones so that meant the pitching staff would be the weak part of my team.
My pitching staff was over budget, had way too many innings, didn't have six Mariners, gave up too many homers. This came from the two relievers I counted on both being daggered. That was good work guys, especially that second dagger that took away the only guy that I thought could hurt me and I thought him very unlikely to be daggered.
Anyway the problem was solved by making my tenth pitcher a mop up guy. I hope Lefty Grove and the rest of the starters hang in there late into games because my weak bullpen has high WHIPs and high HR totals.
I should score plenty of runs though and with four A's batting in front of him maybe Hack Wilson will break that RBI record three years early.
I sweated through the whole fourth round because the 27 Cubs were the only team that let me make a lineup anywhere close to what I wanted and if they were taken there was a big step down as the second choice was taken early in the fourth round.
