Nice.

Looking forward to watching the game tonight. The return of big buff and ladd. Carcillo skates for the first time too. His antics can be entertaining when they are not infuriating ;)

Craw to sit. Emery in net.

I'm looking forward to Carbomb tonight.  I'm anxious to see how Emery looks as well.

Carcillo on the 2nd line? This should be interesting.

emery looks great tonight.... for a leaky sieve.

hawks are much more physical so far - just REALLY sloppy with passes and clear attempts

nice play by hossa, kane goal. is enstrom really that bad?  he seems so slow, slower than brunette.

Carbomb with the great play to set up Kaner!!

Emery had no chance on either of those, btw.

no kidding, terrible turnovers in their own end (including a bad clear by toews).... still got past him though,

hawks turned it around in the last 10 minutes

Toews didn't get much on that clearing attempt.  Good play by the guy on the point to win the battle there and keep it in.

First goal on Emery was a tip-in by Slater. No chance.
Second one he could have had.

There are things to like and dislike about the Hawks game tonight, but one thing I like is how the lines are working. On nights when Toews, Sharp and Brunette are the worst line on the ice for the Hawks (for the right reasons), that can never be a bad thing.

Kaner's line looks like it has a good mix of skill, playmaking and physicality. If Carbomb can play EXACTLY like that period all season, he's fantastic. If he loses it, then he's in the pressbox.

Bolland's line is being physical, crashing the net and creating chances and Mayers' line had the Jets hemmed in their zone the longest of any line at one point thanks to a relentless forecheck.

As for the D, I like SOD's game tonight, simple and steady, as he's been so far this season, and Hammer's played a good period as well as Keith. I still want to see more and better physical play from Seabs and Monty though.

All in all it's a pretty entertaining game, but there are other more interesting stories in the NHL tonight. John Tavares showed everyone the player he can be with a 4 point period and Aaron Asham also showed everyone the type of player he can be. His gesture following his fight was bush league. Doesn't belong in the NHL.

Of course they got by Emery...he had no chance.

Also, somewhat shockingly the Canucks are getting absolutely pasted by the Wings...they're beating them in every category that matters..and perhaps not so shockingly the Sens are completely lifeless tonight.

Don't look now, but the Kane line strikes again.
