Gonna be some good battles with wombats down the line. He's in solid shape for the long haul. I didn't catch your post on 193 first time around...might have been able to work something out.

I didn't have a choice as far as keeping Lojza and the other two infirmary regulars. I had too many contracts to sign before the start of next season and wanted to make sure my roster got a lot younger. Happy with the way things worked out. Got some prospects while the younger part of my team rounds into a nucleus. If I wouldn't have lucked into assburger, I'd be in a heap of trouble. I still wouldn't mind trading for a decent backup, but it'd have to be the right deal.

all I can do is sit and watch.

My trade partner is dog sitting, and I'm not sure about the deal I want now. I'm seriously re-thinking the offensive defenseman theory.

Seriously, the way the game manual reads about the team strategies, putting a 125 offense with a cannon (115SP) shot on defense SHOULD be a way to get over on all the collapsing defenses in The Pit Leagues.

Well Vock has played 4 games on my top D pair and has five shots on goal, zero points at even strength, and the two points he DID get were vs. an AI, playing a staggered defense, on the PP. Did nothing against Atrain, Speedy or Sergei (3gp, -3, 3 shots).

A  wicked idea just popped into my head. I've got assets to deal in peeps one....wondering if I can get a sweet deal in peeps 2 if I send an asskicker to rydart in peeps 1....hmmmm.

I've got two 30 year-olds, and a total of five guys 27 or older in the Deuce. The other 19 guys (including goalies) are 25 or younger.

He's currently a 3rd line RW while I re-think this.

According to the team strategies section, the only time an offensive defensemen is a real advantage is in the 'funnel' or 'crash the net' offenses. Which are front offenses counteracted by a collapsing defense. When I go to the funnel against you and the AIs, he may pick it up. But how many AIs are gonna make the playoffs?

May turn out to be a valuable weapon against you in the playoffs playing that staggered defense though. We shall see.

Funnel (Front Offense) - Aggressive offense based on overloading the slot. 2 or 3 forwards will move into the slot, and attempt to screen, defelct, or pick up rebounds. Defensemen are responsible for shooting the puck at the front of the net.

    Advantages
  • Chance of shots up (5% + 1% PER LEVEL)
  • Rebound up (5% + 1% PER LEVEL)
    Disadvantages
  • Weak against front defenses (Turnovers +10%, Shooting Percent -10%)
Crash the Net (Front Offense) - High pressure offense that sees the forwards attack the front of the net. Players should be in position for a rebound, deflection, or just to push the puck through the goalie. Defensemen will pinch and drive to the slot if pressure is high. This strategy has a high risk of disallowed goals.

    Advantages
  • Chance of shots up (10% + 1% PER LEVEL)
    Disadvantages
  • Breakaway chance up (25%)
  • Weak against front defenses (Turnovers +10%, Shooting Percent -10%)

Good Job,

Sincerely,
Page 193.

Wombats got the #1 goalie in the draft, he has 98 potential, and now Lojza to sit behind while he goes thru the roof. That kid'll be about 75-76 overall when Lojza retires, freeing up $9M in cap space for him to buy firepower with.
I hope you're right I'm still trying to figure out how practice works and how best to set it up.

I haven't gone over anything yet. I'll take a look tomorrow and see if I can find a good match in both leagues. I don't need much in peeps1, so cash my way might seal a deal, especially if you're looking at one of my new youngsters. I'm looking to get a little youth with potential in the peeps2, and I have a lot of cash I can send your way. Might even be able to work out a three way deal in peeps two if I can find someone with a decent goalie to spare. My only real asset I want to part with is cash, and maybe one of the young guys I just picked up.

i train my guys on long every day and they all stay at 100 for game days for the most part except the goalie who i switch out about once a week.  of course it doesn't work out that way when the website screws up and does three days of training all at once.  i haven't looked at your team to know how your stamina is but mines pretty high so maybe this won't work for you

Yeah I've been switching between the 3
