The Hartford Police have blocked the street outside my work as they check on a "suspicious package" under a bridge right next to my building.  The Bomb Squad has arrived.  I'm on the 7th floor overlooking the action.  Am I safe?

I have no idea what a Hartford Whaler is but, if they are a sports team, it probably is.

Why does this thread even exist?  Why is miket23 so highly regarded by so many, if not all of the posters in this thread?  I really don't think that miket23 could NOT answer a question.  If he stopped answering questions, this thread would cease to exist.   Are you that self-absorbed, miket23?

The NHL did shoot themselves in the foot when they decided the southern part of the US needed hockey.   When you can walk around in a wifebeater and shorts, the last thing you want to do is watch hockey.    And that happens around the A/S break.

What are your feelings on teasing NFL teams from +1.5/+2/+2.5 to +7.5/+8/+8.5 (or similarly from -7.5/-8/-8.5 to -1.5/-2/-2.5) to get the cover for both the 3 and 7 point game?  Some guy named Wong thinks that this can actually be a profitable strategy.

The NFL is dying from parity.   The lines are shockingly close every week.   I think it could be a profitable scheme but, if something starts working on a big scale, rest assured that the bookies will know how to stop it.
