Wooden's Roanoke. Ah, a great team that yours truly built under my rolltide86 ID. Too bad the current coach is ruining them...

Forgot to mention that the user can setup mock practice plans to see how that particular player would progress under more specific circumstances. By default, the engine simulates every player in the selected world at every position to find where they would be most effective.

For those who are intrigued by the mechanics of HD, it offers a look at any particular player pool's average stats, ratings, and IQ's. Take, for example, all guards in Smith that shoot over 50% from the field and look at their average ratings. Or, maybe all SF's with an ATH greater than 55. The filters are setup in a way that you can mix and match criteria to find very specific data.

Also, it allows you to simulate players' progression through the end of their senior year. Every time you open a player's page, you get a new snapshot of their potential ratings for each future year. It's more and more accurate all of the time, and a huge amount of time has been spent in an attempt to get it as close to the real thing as possible.

I'm guessing you are hoping that "player potential" is still a long way off.

Do you have some inside information as to how the true sim engine works? If not, how do the player improvements and "effectiveness" match what would actually happen?

I would have thought it would be free, takes very little effort to do in ones head, is probably the most fun part of the game (guessing how a recruit will look)

no apparently they are fine with this which makes no sense. They are always trying to make HD more realistic... well knowing how well your players are going to improve isnt exactly realistic.

Elmore, won't this essentially be null and void once player potential is instituted?

This software may not be for everyone, and I never claimed that it would be. It is what it is. If you aren't interested, nobody is forcing anyone to accept it. Lets try to keep the flaming to a minimal. Oh, and Happy Easter!

I'm sure you worked hard on this, and I'm sure some people will pay for it, but I can't get over the fundamental irony of paying to play a game, and then paying for a tool that does a lot of the playing for you.
