Still no answer about backdooring a superclass or how this will affect teams who currently have 10 FR.

Thank you for making an effort to finally respond to this issue, Admin.

"If a coach has 6 sophomores, he/she would not be able to sign a JUCO1 or a transfer with 3 years of eligiblity."

I think that answers the question about backdooring it. Looks like there might not be many loopholes.

I have no idea how old you are - I'm referring to the fact that you seem to want your hand held while playing this game.

Seriously, they limit the number in one class to 6 and your first comment is that you don't want teams that have 6 seniors and 6 juniors?

Part of the fun in this game is the flexibility to build a dynasty in many different ways. What do you want next - a mandatory 3 person per class rule?

sign 4 ineligibles one year, 6 freshmen the next. Superclass.

It's very hard if not impossible to sign multiple ineligibles in a year.

Well, signing multiples is easy. Having more than one show up and not go JUCO is hard/impossible.

I assume teams currently over any class limit would be grandfathered, so a team with 10 freshmen could eventually become 10 seniors. But once they graduate, only 6 will be able to be replaced with freshmen; the others would have to be juco or transfer. We'll get all these answers confirmed during the dev chat.

Does anyone know how AI schools recruit now? I thought they spend all their money before recruiting begins.

tanner, you make a good point. To avoid that, they'd need to treat formerly ineligible sophs as freshmen, for the purposes of this rule. Then only 2 freshmen could be signed to go with the 4 formerly ineligible freshmen.

It reads like the AI schools will start recruiting again after signings start. Previously, they did it all at the beginning.

My question is: Will they go after the same players the A+ prestige schools can see? Or will they compete with the C prestige schools?

What about redshirts? Willl they now restrict which players you can redshirt?
7/7/2008 3:06 PM
lol... what is the over/under on how many questions of mine they attempt to answer? I have submitted 10+ already.

I think it means any undecided recruit MIGHT start considering a SIM team, IF he is undecided once signings begin. Currently, SIMs recruit at the very beginning, then some undecided gets signed by SIMs AFTER signings are complete. So whereas before, a human would have no risk of a SIM going after an undecided, now there will be that risk (as soon as signings start). Admin clarifies that recuits considering other schools will not be targets by the SIMs.

ok... I think I asked everything I needed to. If he just answers those questions before the developers chat, no one will have anything else to ask, lol.

Will a SIM school who recruits after signing day....

Be immediately competitive with an A+ or A prestige school? Or will they have to wait until the recruit would ordinarily drop to their prestige level (C or lower).

In other words, can a SIM school 'pull down' a recruit before they'd ordinarily see them?

I'm sure you'll see div I sims going down to the div II/Div II pool of recruits after signings. Div II will target some pretty horrible div III guys that nobody wants and div III will stick with the 300ish rated guys. Thats just my guess. I see no reason why they will change the way they recruit. They will just continue to go after the same ol' crap players as before, but do it at a later period.

I agree, based solely on how crappy sims already target 'talent'.
