Think that this would be tough to implement. Would it go by state or would WIS go through and make hot/cold regions. Do like the other two though, as those can be easily attributed to the gpa's of your players and you can control what kind of players you want. Maybe the strong academic kids might have a little boost to iq and those party animals might have a little better attributes or something.

From what I understand, you choose a state or a region and then all you get the info on all unsigned recruits (minus transfers) in there. Not sure if it includes all divisions, the division you are in, or you have the ability to select the region (going to post that in the devchat).

So the people that have a div I team can scout for there div III teams to get the info if they wanna stay home, be far, there potential and then save money? Right on. So before you had a shot at anyone far away as long as you wanted to put the $ in, but now you may not? Can't you just figure that out with simple phone calls? The only useful thing is potential, but knowing how much these scouting tools are going to cost is going to be key.

If I picked NY to Ohio (the example ADMIN used) why would that cost more then those seven or eight states he listed? I take it as because maybe there are more recruits in those to states then those other states combined

You are correct since they have significantly more recruits it costs more.

Good point furry, didn't tihnk of that. Have a d-i and a d-iii team in the same world and the thought never occured to me, maybe they will make it where you can't scout a division lower than what you are.

I agree jskenner this may be to alleviate the boredom but isn't that what we want for the game to continue to develop so people don't get bored. There is a thread going for those who want to btch about boredom. I think the more they add the more fun and competitive it will be instead of the same things that some guys have mastered.

Wow so you just make a freehd account and then scout all the areas and then go to your real team while using the scouting notes from your freehd team thats not going to be easily avoided

That should DEFINETELY be part of the implementation. Basically anyone with aliases at multiple levels shouldn't be able to use one school to scout for all their their teams. If that becomes the case, I'd run one of my aliaii back up to D-I...since I have no question other people would take advantage of that glitch.

Ding already thought of that when I was typing the other thing. Or people in confs can "agree" that coach X scouts these states and coach Y scouts these states and share the info via Site mails or whatever.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to HATE players having their development limited randomly (i.e. potential).

For me, developing players is probably the most fun part of the game. I can't say for sure until I try it out, but my initial thought is that this is going to suck.

It won't be bad. I hope I can scout just 1 player and not an entire state for cheap. Theres usually like 20+ players I want and then I'd narrow it down by potential. I'm sure its not going to be just full of low potential players, but they also "fixed" IQ (made it worse) by making there starting IQ worse off then it was before "attempting" to make more better FR so who knows how jacked up this change will be.

I think it has the opportunity to be a very good addition. Players progressed at to much of a predictable rate and it was difficult to find a true 'diamond in the rough'. Now, there might be some lower rated players that have great potential and can be better players by their senior year.
