And, under no circumstances, am I for forced closing of leagues. If I want to sit on my team that I paid for until I pass away, I see no reason to stop me.

When it comes to this matter WIS will do what it thinks will generate them the most revenue. If they feel that giving away teams will generate more cash they will do that. They will never come out and promise no more giveaways because they don't know what the future will hold.

Its not all the owners getting the players fault. Many times a coach has no intentions of coming back next season so he sells the future for now. That owner doesn't care about a league he is leaving, and even quality leagues suffer from this problem. If someone offers you a trade that you feel is in your favor its unlikely you would turn it down, I know I would not.

I personally think the answer's fairly simple.

Kidnap Threester and quickly transport him to a genetic laboratory, clone him six times over, feed the clones massive amounts of growth hormone-laden ballpark franks to expedite maturity, let simmer for 6-8 years, add salt to taste, and voila!!!

17,000 openings filled in no time!

Invariably the people sitting in these worlds have kickass teams. This did not occur by osmosis from departing, win-now owners.

I think you guys should petition President Obama for a massive federal WIS bailout package that rebates EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN with a five-pack of HBD teams whether or not they've ever bought a team in the past.

According to Paul Bessire on Zeke's radio show last week (around 6 minutes in), WIS will be sending out a promo code that will be targeting around 400,000 people through foxsports.com.

Even if they only get .5% response, that's 2,000 potential new owners.

It's not a radio show if it's not broadcast over the radio.

Fine. It's his internet show.

And they'll be one and done after completely fiicking up a team... Either that or a bunch of opportunistic veterans (who, me?) will create a bogus Fox screen name just to get a free credit and pillage some n00bs.

I think we know I'm referring to worlds with an assload of openings. Those are the ones that look "bad". If you have 5-6 openings, that's not a problem. If you have a dozen openings, you've got a problem.

WIS is a bunch of socialists!! Bailing out worlds that arent strong enough to survive on their own.

I agree. Both my private worlds because of circumstances that were outside the control of the Commissioners went public. I understand that there is only a short period after roll-over before a world goes public. Apparently this can be prevented by the Commissioner but if he/she misses that date then the world turns. I believe that private worlds should remain private and only go public at the Commissioners request but Wis seems to prefer the opposite.
