When applying to schools, if you apply to multiple schools will you get the job of whichever accepts you first, or will it go in order of which schools you applied to. For example you apply to school A, B and C, you'll get a decision from school A before B and C? Or is it all equal and whichever school comes to their decision first hires you? Asking this becasue I have a #1 school but I don't want to put all my eggs in that basket and if I don't get the job have my 2nd and 3rd choices not be there.

its all equal. if school B decides on a coach before school A, then you go to school B.

Ah, I see. I wish you could set a priority list. Now I have to decide whether I want to apply for multiple jobs just so I don't get taking a job a really don't want.

No, I'm saying it says I am qualified for all D II jobs, and I've been turned down by 3 so far, including 1 real dog. I don't really need another D III team, but I am stuck in the world for another season it seems since CS won't transfer the season to one of my other worlds. Oh well.

Didn't job applications just start today? If so you won't find out if you got a job until tonight. Hirings don't start until the second day of applications.

well, hirings may or may not start, but notifications telling me they are looking for someone "more qualified" have already gone out, as I have been rejected 3 times. I have just used my final application for a 1-26 squad that sports 7 walk-ons...If they decide to pass, I'll have a D III team in Rupp that will gather dust for a season - no hard feelings, and I know the job process is not a guarantee, and I did not exactly light it up in my D III season, but I had a winning record and expected to be able to pick up something in D II...

That sounds weird, it says decisions don't start until midnight. Telling you they are looking for someone more qualified is the same as making a decision.

If you didn't make the NT it appears you will have to play 2 seasons to get any job in DII... not sure if it's always been this way but a winning season... or PIT will not cut it in Rupp right now.

The quick declines happen today (1st day)... all decisions in which you actually get a job begin overnight, tonight.

I only made the PIT but I won the championship and ended with the 21st ranked team and 33 RPI and had a full letter increase in prestige. That should be better than a team that barely snuck in the NT and lost in the 1st round.

if you are not qualified, you'll get a quick rejection, regardless of when hirings start.

although, if i were dacj501, i'd send in a ticket on why i was getting quck rejections from schools i was "qualified" for...
