Some owners are waiting for the release of the 2009 players, which are due out Wednesday.

Support is unable to turn off the Rename AAA function, and as pointed out in the original thread for this league that opens up the potential for unscrupulous owners to use misleading names to get lopsided trades through. Thus, I am asking everyone to NOT rename their AAA players. If prospects are renamed, it defeats the purpose of having actual names provided to help keep trades fair. If a majority prefers that we rename players to match their franchises, I can see about having fictional names reinstated.

I am keeping a list of the real-name AAA as teams enter the league. If anyone has already renamed players, please let me know so I can update that list.

Josh, I had already changed quite a few before it was mentioned a week or so ago. The majority of my team names are former Padres.

What would you like me to do?

No need to do anything sloadrock. The only potential problem is if a team starts 2-15 and decides to deal stars for crap to help another team. Unless you're going into the league planning to stink, it won't be an issue . I just want to know who has renamed so I can revise the list I'm keeping. With that list, if there's a question about a trade being shady, I can find out whether someone changed players' names to sneak something through.

And if you want to do another team, you're certainly welcome to. At least one team was entered on the condition that we include 2009 players, so we won't be full until Wednesday night at the earliest anyway.

I will switch to the Brewers and have kleinevoet take the Dodgers to fill out the league. I sent kleinevoet a site mail to let him know.

Thanks Hodags and kleinevoet! Lawman_185 said he'd enter with either the Giants (whom I'd happily give up) or White Sox. That fills us up, and would leave me to enter my second team in place of someone who doesn't get in. It's been 10 days since I sent out the league #, so spots will not be held. If you want to be sure to play, get em in soon! When we're at 23, I'll enter a second team and align the league.
