A) Vague references to loading a gun are unacceptable. There are a lot of crazy people out there, and you get what you deserve when you let people worry, even for a second, that they might be under threat. I'm sure there's a 99.9% probability that you were simply frustrated and venting, but people have shot up office buildings over this little before. Beware violent metaphorical language.
B) This has nothing to do with multiple IDs. This guy got screwed. If he was really and truly a first year owner, then it would have been the fairest thing to boot him (instead of a longer-term owner) to make the merge happen. However, even a 1st season owner, once the merge didn't happen, should have been given his team back upon his request without having to scramble for it with other prospective owners. And once he pointed this all out, it should have taken 1-2 hours MAX to give him his team back. Tell the other owner sorry, and give him a $5 credit for his troubles, and boot him from cougdawg's team. Then charge cougdawg back his season credit, and give him his team back. Sure, if he hadn't changed IDs, then maybe he would not have been booted in the first place. But then some newer owner would be booted, and he would be in the same situation. The issue is why they didn't return his team upon request once he was originally booted for the sake of the merge and then the merge failed.
C) I don't like the way WIS acts like crediting you back for a season that they BOOTED you from is some kind of compensation. They HAVE to give you back your credit if they kick you out of a season for reasons other than misconduct. If they had given this guy a $10 credit right off the bat as soon as they booted him, he very well may have been mollified and taken on another team in another World.
Just my $.02 here.
