UNO Draft - Round 25 - MLB88170 Topic

Do we not have to designate the year you are choosing? There was a part in the rules that says that you can't exceed cap at any time during the draft...that is why I ask. This is the first time I have done this draft so I am a lil wet behind the ears.

Anyhow, I am going to choose Juan Marichal.

No on the years...you can take ARod..and decide at the end that the 200k version would fit your squad better because the tigers are the last team picked and you have a shot at Trammell....or move him to a 3b year because you want Travis Fryman...etc.

thanks and kudos for Bastan running this. I do apologize to everybody here, my work schedule has been absolutely ridiculous for some time now, and I apologize for you guys having to wait. I may not be available to answer many of your questions, but there are more than enough guys here with UNO experience to help out.

Work will hopefully die down after the first of the year and I should be able to be playing on here soon. And then get UNO 9 out--I have been wanting to try new things for it, but thought better of it this time with so many newcomers to the draft.

Hope you guys enjoy it!!!

Yes, Taint is right about not having to submit your year. It makes uno that much better!

Make sure you sitemail the guys behind you since we are off the clock. Hopefully we can get one round done so the newbies can get a feel for how uno works. Eman7400 is now up.

The player does have to be from the franchise of the round you select him though, right?
So if you draft ARod in the Mariners round, have to use a Mariners season (and so not a 3B season in this case).

OH yeah...that was a bad example...definitiely correct.
12/3/2009 2:20 PM
Thanks guys and I will sitemail the next guys in line.
12/3/2009 2:57 PM
Yes, steveymer. It can be any season of the team you selected the player from.

All the drafts are done that way & the WIS timestamp... could get a lot of guys mixed up.

Glad you pointed that out. I would've never noticed.

Okay, all times are eastern. I'll make the changes. Just have to get up earlier now for those picks.

yeah... I miss the days of sleeping till noon... 6-7am kind of sucks :-))
It really sucks the hours & days away from your life... Instead of living in the moment for the next fun thing to do... go to a party, go out to a bar, chill & play the guitar, have a girl over or go see one, day or night... your time was free... your life was free... anything was possible and waiting for you in life... that week...that day... that next hour... the next chick that walked into the bar or you met somewhere else completely randomly...

I'm telling you, man... (and all you young guys out there) Don't do anything TOOO stupid :-)) but go out there & enjoy the hell out of your life while you're young. Once you get sucked into the 8-5... whew... it's a compleeeete change and the days, weeks, and years start passing you by like you're standing still. Cause you're not out there "'living life" "having experiences" things aren't fresh & exciting like when you were in your teens and 20's... Most of us get sucked into some daily & weekly routine that repeats itself over & over & over again like we died and are forever stuck in the same 24-hour cycle of bland nothingness... Go Live Life !! Do not go softly into that gentle goodnight !" (how does that old poem go?)

Do not go gentle into that good night
Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

TODDLEDOC...AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!
