Anyone else think this is a bug? Topic

+1

Plague's just looking for a freebie way out of his negligence.

As we all know, there's no real reason a guy who throws 50 pitches should be out for 18 days. But, if you throw a 22 DUR/2 STM for that many pitches, it's going to happen. The game has to be set up a certain way so that player abuse/neglect isn't the norm.

its not a bug. They are just that tired and used up. The rate of them getting better (less fatigued) gets worse and worse the more they are used

I don't think they created it as punishment, it's likely a by-product of the programming they haven't decided to fix.

Could have had an injury like Jose Canseco did. Feel fortunate.

It's not "fixed" for the reason I outlined earlier.

Except that you have no proof of your claim. At least I'm suggesting possibilities rather than acting like I *know* something is correct.

Send a ticket. Ask them.

WifS does not want owners playing pitchers as position players. Plain and simple.

Let me know what they tell you. Let us all know.

You know very well that 10 different people can send the same ticket and get 10 different responses. For example:

spudpicker: "Why won't my RL pitcher that played 20 games a SS recover?"

cs: "The player in question was eligible for the Rule V draft because he had 3 seasons experience and wasn't on your 40 man roster."
12/8/2009 12:31 PM
While that may be true, WifS is fully aware of the "problem". They have been for a quite some time.

I wonder, if a pitcher has a good durability/stamina combo, if he'll fatigue in this manner if you change his position to OF and play him as an OF. Or if there's some built in "He's a pitcher" hidden rating. Has anyone tried this?

Nevermind. I will.

My new starting 1B in LoA MG:

82 Durability/45 stamina. That's as good as plenty of legit position players.

I believe this is the answer. Any reason given will be to justify the problem as "everything is working as intended." My past experience with WIS is they almost always defend the problem. How many times have you seen WIS say there is no problem only to see a fix down the line.

If that is WIS reason that is just silly. Seriously, how does making a career minor league pitcher unusuable to pitch the rest of the season going to stop someone who does not care? When it happen to me I just inactived the pitcher and plugged in another career minor league pitcher. My other option would of been to cut him and pick up another career minor league pitcher. You think I care if my minor league team finishes with 60 wins or 100 wins?

If you start the season with 8 position players, it's fairly obvious that you don't care. That's no longer an issue.
