Isn't everybody going to be in a house on Xmas day? Will the people you're with really get offended if you step away for 5 minutes to recruit? It's really not that big of a deal. I hope WIS doesn't push recruiting back at all.

hd has been around for what 6+ seasons? we have had to recruit on xmas eve and x-mas before.. so why should they make an eception now? oh thats right because it affects you...

Don't change it. Buy a smart phone if you can't get to a computer. Let's be honest, spending 5-10 minutes every few hours is a nice break from screaming kids, weird aunts and ****** off significant others who you didn't buy the right Tiffany's necklace for this year.

I brought that up to TK way, way back, and he was in favor of it but had to see if it was logistically possible. (I didn't see why not, but I suppose he knows just a teensy little more about programming than I do.)

The ticket was responded to yesterday, with WIS saying they'll make an announcement about their decision today.

No change necessary. Adapt and over come.

pretty sure my answer came from tarek too, maybe you should resubmit it to seble - this is really a no brainer, I think tarek felt it would make the 40 some day 1 a day season cycle a day longer, or it would take a day away from recruiting or job hunting, neither of which he was in the mood to do when I submitted my ticket but either of which I would gladly sacrifice - in my near 300 seasons of this, I have recruited on the last day once or twice, usually doing something stupid and have always job hunted right away too

Agreed... plans have been made and we can all adapt.. What makes it a bugger is when they change things at the last minute...

and announcing a change on Monday before recruiting starts on Tuesday in Iba would really be in considerate...and would have me upset..

I too sen ta ticket telling them they owuld creat emore problems tnan solve.. I got the same response in re monday.

This is not true. Recruiting or start of new season has been changed on a couple of occasions. While I'll recruit whenever WIS decides on the date, I've never quite understood the whining from the people that don't want the date moved. It's just a computer game.

Seriously, you guys don't think it's a little ridiculous that recruiting would start on Christmas Eve or Christmas? I don't get it.

I think the biggest problem is that WIS doesn't think this through beforehand.

There is no reason that they can't have mapped out all the seasons and know when they are going to fall, and what adjustments they may have to make. It would probably take one guy less than a day to chart everything out in Outlook and make some recommendations.

WIS should also have a schedule and be able to tell people in advance that they will be shut down on certain days, Thanksgiving, Xmas, etc. So in this case, maybe recruiting starts at 6 PM on 12/24, but the site is puased on 12/25, so 12/26 is the second day of recruiting.

aporter please show me where they have delayed recruiting for a holiday? i realize they have delayed it before for instance when they have had server problems etc. but of course they would for that.



and for jslotman no i do not think it is rediculous when you signed up to play hd you knew it could happen there are no vac. days in this game. i suggest in the future figure it out well in advance if recruiting is gonna fall on a holiday, it's really not hard to figure out.

acn24 the same thing can be said for all of hd coach's there is no reason we can't map it out and make adjustments. why is it up to wis to accomodate us? we should figure it out in advance ( i know i do) and then go from there.
