HD, including baseline prestige, is stuck in 2004. While it's unlikely to change the conference affiliations, it does prove that CBB rules and/or team affiliations evolve. Some type of comparable evolution would be good for HD. I think being stuck in 2004 baselines is bad. At some point in order to survive they will have to address it. I can't imagine a game based on technology being around in 2014 if it baseline conference affiliations and prestige is from 2004. And why Hawaii, with it recruiting disadvantages, was placed in the PAC 10 is beyond me.

Those are two totally and completely different issues.

Separate, but connected imho. Both display a mindset that shows me little forward thinking.

For a very short time when HD first began, WIS had Marshall in the Big10 and a few other real oddities. Texas, Pan American was switched and became San Diego. I believe a couple of DII schools were also moved. They could make changes if they wanted to. It will never match real life status though because of the 12 team conference structure.

Fisk, in DIII, has dropped athletics but still plays in WIS.

Some schools have changed names. In some cases, WIS uses both names. One will be on the team page; the other in the rankings. An example is Missouri S & T. On their home page, they are still called Missouri-Rolla.

Fairleigh Dickinson-Madison is now called College at Florham. WIS hasn't made the change yet; they probably don't know about it.

On the other hand, when I informed WIS that Penn St. Berks-Lehigh Valley had dropped the 2nd part of the name, it was changed immediately to just Penn St. Berks

ooc scheduling could be an issue if teams were moved to different conferences and/or divisions. i like the idea... just don't see how we can have our cake and eat it too with ooc scheduling and team conf movement. Jmo.

I think if they make future worlds, they should make the changes, but doing this in the pre-existing worlds is probably a ton more headache than its worth really.
