We all love the Little East, but the MIAC, a top five conference, is looking for coaches too. Active board, great long-term coaches willing to help, and an overall great experience.

I plan on joining, is it dumb of me to wait and see if some higher than C- prestige jobs open up in one of these conferences like Little E or MIAC once promotions happen?

Really, if you plan on staying a while, I would just find a team and go with it. YOu should be able to get your prestige up reasonably quickly to a decent level. YOu can find plenty of computer run teams that have the talent to play much better than they have been, guide them to that better record, bump up the Prestige with that and go from there.

I agree with a.

For the MIAC:

If you're looking for a decent team set up to be both marginally competitive next year and have a little something set up for the future, I'd look at Concordia, Moorhead. If you want a team that's a little more competitive next year to up your prestige and then have a massive class/recruiting budget, St. Scholastica will have 8 seniors next year.

I would take a serious look at St. Thomas. They will have 7 seniors and 4 juniors next year, setting you up perfectly for a good year next year and a great second recruiting class.

Isack , i got to prop my little east conference for many years palmettobugs and hydrospeed had to hold up the conference and with the new guys coming in we can finally get the little east to head towards the Elite 4 level. When i came back 6 seasons ago little east was in the 20's in rpi for conference this past season 10th and with the new coaches in a few seasons could see maybe the 5 to 8 area.

Yeah, but you guy already have two new coaches so I have to start pushing harder ;)

We have eight long-term (or will be long-term) coaches committed to making the MIAC an awesome conference. We consistently get multiple postseason teams, almost always multiple NT teams (more recruiting money).

And now there will be full D3 rewards, so even if you don't join the MIAC, there's no reason not to join Wooden D3!

mjp8 - St. Scholastica is probably great opportunity to get a huge prestige bump right away plus you will have 3 open scholarships to get the recruiting going right away and build for next season when your seniors graduate.

Scholastica is probably a NT team.

The WIAC is in the 2nd tier of conferences, but there are several good openings among the 6 SIMs. Platteville made the PT, Oshkosh and River Falls have good bases of talent, and Concordia only loses 2 walkons. With 3 perennial NT contenders and 3 up and coming coaches, it's a great place to be in an active conference without facing the death march conference schedules you face in some of the "BCS" conferences.

We just need our resident ghost ship to go away. Seriously, that one team is probably the largest drag on our team and conference RPI. Especially for the teams that have to play that 366 rpi TWICE in conference. WIthout that, might have had at least one more NT qualifier.

Simai at this point has probably a better shot of winning games then ECSU remaining roster guys. That 366 to 384 rpi unit is pretty bad.

Just reserved St. Scholastica. My latest attempt at D3 has been horrible, maybe being in an active world will make the difference for me. I totally ruined a good team over 3 years at D3 in Crum.
